A reference tool for the 2024 Ontario Building Code Compendium: answers to code questions with the articles they come from, the Part 9 span and framing tables, and framing checks. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Government of Ontario, and it is not the Building Code.
Results help you find and read the code. They do not replace the Building Code, a building official's review, a permit, or an engineer where the code requires one. Check the cited article before you build. You are responsible for the work you do. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from relying on WorkToCode, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
WorkToCode costs $49 CAD a month, billed in advance by Stripe until you cancel. Cancel any time from Account, Manage billing; access continues to the end of the paid month and we do not give partial refunds. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change by email.
One account is for one person. Do not share your sign-in, resell access, or copy the tables or code text out of WorkToCode in bulk. We limit questions to 150 a day per account.
We may update WorkToCode and these terms; we will tell you by email about material changes. You can delete your account any time from Account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario.
